Rev. Billy Bob T Wad - Part 1

i have a group of friends who meet every saturday morning at kaldi's coffee in chesterfield valley. they call themselves the 'band of brothers' and each week they encourage each other to live life transparently. in an age where hiding behind our stuff--our car, our house, our toys--is becoming more and more the rage, these guys make an intentional effort to challenge each other to be real about their struggles, to pray for each other and to care for the needs of the less fortunate.

every so often, one of the guys, named Terrell, even writes a monologue--channeling a character he calls 'rev. billy bob t wad'--that is both side-splittingly funny and deeply profound...all in an effort to help the guys dig beneath their veneers. though it's a bit long, and some of the humor is 'in-house,' if you stick through parts 1 and 2, you might just catch a glimpse of that powerful intersection between humor, creativity and spirituality. i believe this is the crossing where we are all intended to live: the extraordinary.
