good morning

hope you've started off well, and are easing into today. something i've been working on lately is intentional gratitude... i find that unless i intentionally stir up thanks in my heart, i often forget the gifts right in front of me (like friends, air, health, a beautiful day, food to eat etc.). so, i've been starting each day by remembering 5 things i'm grateful to God for--all from the previous day. for some people i'm guessing that's easy. however, for me it's challenging because i get to about 3 and my mind wanders, hehe. :-)

here goes:

i'm thankful for the exercise i got yesterday that helped me clear my mind. i'm thankful for the conversation i got to have with an old friend. i'm thankful for new relationships that bring new energy to my soul. i'm thankful God has surrounded my life with great music that brings meaning to my daily steps. i'm thankful for the leadership at the Crossing that have graciously walked alongside me as i've grown up (it's an amazing thing to have awesome bosses who're always stretching themselves and getting better at leading/loving others).
