if you're anything like me, you've felt almost powerless to help the survivors in Haiti, except to send donations. undoubtedly many of us are thinking of our brothers and sisters overseas. if you've been looking for other tangible ways to help the people of Haiti, here's a great opportunity:this Friday night Jan. 29th @ 7pm, there will be a Prayer & Worship Night @ Grace Church uniting several churches in the St. Louis area. myself and some others from the Crossing will also be apart of the night, and all donations go to compassion int'l, an organization rescuing children from poverty.
everyone who wants is invited.

Join pastors, worship leaders and members of several churches as we gather in Grace's Auditorium to pray for the survivors in Haiti. Through worship we will reflect on the goodness of God, whose heart is broken over the devastation in Haiti. Through prayer we will partner with God to see salvation and supplies reach these precious people. Through our financial contributions, we will put our compassion into action as we send aid to Haiti through Compassion International.

What a wonderful night of praise and prayer. I wish I had "heard" more, but I have to rest with the knowledge that I heard what He wanted me to hear. That said, it was nice to attend an event where, despite the magnitude of tragedy, there was joy and celebration, not in what had been done, but to remark on what glorious things God will do with it.
