in just a few weeks, we're opening up a series at the Crossing on relationships. it's crazy to think how much of our lives depend on our relationship with each other. CS Lewis uses a great metaphor, that life is like ships out on the ocean (or modern day like planes in the sky). there are three crucial things that must be addressed if we are all to swim or fly through life well. 1) how to keep from sinking/crashing ourselves 2) how to keep from crashing into each other 3) why we are here in the first place. Lewis argues that if we can discover the answer to #3, we can finally unlock the answers to #2 and #1.

so, i'm actually excited about this series because i've got a lot to learn about all 3, and it's good to have friends at the Crossing who can help me navigate life with humor and purpose. you're always welcome to come too, even if you can't make it in person. these days we're using technology that makes the series accessible through PODcast and even Roku.
