Sermon Video - What is your God from Churpedia.Com on Vimeo.
what's most important to you?
it's been a while since i've blogged. recently, i've been considering how i spend my time and what's most important to me. time is so valuable, and so short, and when i reflect on my life i realize how much time i waste on things that don't really matter. like tv, internet and yes...sometimes even blogging. but every new season of my life i feel change begin to blow threw me and ask "what do you need to let go of?" somehow it still shocks me that every year i discover there are things i have held onto that won't help shape who i'm to become. and every season i find it difficult to admit that i've gotten hooked again, and i need to let go. spirituality is so much about 'letting go' and embracing the freedom of life lived with open hands. somehow when we do we are free to receive the gifts that reflect the invisible best...love, grace, peace, what scripture calls the Spirit of God. i ran across this video on vimeo.com and it startled me because i don't like the terms it uses "idol worship." and yet, i understand what whoever made this video is saying "what should be most important to you and whatever that is, honestly what has taken it's place?" for me, my relationship with the Invisible is most important, and so many things are currently in His place. i'm praying for help to let go, and trusting that--in doing so--i will receive everything my soul longs for in return...the Spirit of God and relationship with those He gives me to love.
