every summer about june 1st i begin to lament being a grown up. for 18 years my mind was conditioned to anticipate the summer as a 3 month vacation. alas, every year since i have entered june with false hope that somehow "vacation time" will return, and though it never has, i am blessed to have a job that mandates 3 weeks of vacation every year. thus, because i have not taken any so far this year, i felt it appropriate to begin my first week of vacation in the first week of june. WOO HOO! vacation time!
