things fall apart

it's funny how life can be. one day you're full of gratitude, the next day you're stressed wondering how life can be so difficult. hehe. today i've got to return the car i've been driving all summer. my wonderful friend amanda lent me her beautiful 2006 jetta this summer because she was in San Diego working a job that did not require her to have transportation. it has been GREAT having an almost new car to pedal around in for the last 3 months, but alas, my amusement ride is coming to an end.

so for the last week i've been scouring craigslist and trying to find a good deal on something used...and yesterday i found something...sort of. it's a 1996 Nissan Altima with 128,000 miles...oh yeah, only the best for yours truly. okay truthfully, i really am a fan of buying used cars. ever since i was little my dad taught me never to buy something new because it loses so much value immediately. for the past 15 years i've bought used cars and done really well spending almost nothing--relative to buying something new. besides, i never understood how people could afford big expensive cars until i learned that lots of folks are just driving around a second mortgage. wah wah...

still, there are problems with buying used cars, and today may have been the day those troubles finally caught up to me.

the full story coming shortly...
